In The Depth of My Pond, the Water Lilies Float and Flower brings two soft pink water lilies into full bloom at the base of a shimmering, reflective pond. Julie Tugwell surrounds the flowers with pale lily pads in cream and ochre, drifting across cool blue water broken by fine dark reeds and grasses. Warm amber and rust tones along the upper edge suggest overhanging foliage caught in reflection.
